On Tuesday March 6 approximately 70 year 11 Geographers headed off for the annual Mountain to Sea fieldtrip, studying the Waiwakaiho river and how it changes in it’s journey from Egmont National Park to the sea. Students waded the river to measure it’s speed and cross sectional area, collected bugs to establish the quality of the water, and performed other tasks such as measuring rock sizes and water temperature. All in all a good day of practical activity to reinforce the theory learnt in the classroom
