March 22nd 2007 Taranaki Landscape Fieldtrip
36 Year 12 students travelled to the Mount Taranaki to study the hypothesis that "Landscape changes significantly as altitude increases". The students completed a range of experiments at two sites, the first at 600m from sea level and the second 1200m on the slopes of Mount Taranaki. A number of experiments were carried out on vegetation, relief, soil, climate and the impact of humans on the landscape.
